– As a young business owner and passion for interior design, the owner made use of the showroom to showcase her expression & design philosophy.

What was the design brief? What kind of look did the showroom wish to achieve?

– The aim of the showroom is to let clients feel welcome and they are able to relate to elements of the space so are able to visualise better certain aspects that we might be proposing to their home, example like an island kitchen, or a room with glass doors, day bed etc. The interior style is not confined to a particular concept, but rather a fusion to achieve a timeless design.

What’s the most interesting design feature in this showroom?

– The raised platform with slanted steps which stretches to become a sitting bench for meeting area.

What were some of the challenges when designing this showroom?

– The high ceiling and limited natural light.

Please provide a description of each room, highlighting the most interesting design element.

A reception counter is topped with volakas white marble & oversized European tiles with diagonal texture made up the frontage of the counter. A tall open shelving add abit of playfulness to the space with it’s irregular shelvings and trimmed with gold brushed laminate finishing for a polished look. Muted colours were used to give the huge open shelves a timeless look.
Special furniture/material:

A long table creates a space for more formal discussion with bigger groups. Clear mirror with white trimmings creates the illusion of windows to add depth to the flat wall. The basin was brought out of the bathroom so that someone can still use the basin if the bathroom is occupied. Swing door was replaced with a sliding door so that the bathroom appear more spacious without the door swing. At the shower area, large 6ft by 3ft Italian black marble-looking wall tiles are use as the feature wall. Timber blinds are use to finish the window to introduce natural ventilation. And a loose solid timbre cabinet is use to replace the previous basin position for corner display items.
